Neville Bros to Celebrate 100 Years of Trucking Excellence
Labour Weekend – October 2026 will mark a significant milestone for Neville Brothers: 100 years since brothers Frank and Bert Neville first set out on the road, founding what would become one of the region’s longest-standing transport and cartage businesses.
Established in 1926, Neville Brothers (also known as Neville Bros.) has remained family owned and operated for almost a century - a rare achievement in today’s transport industry. From modest beginnings in early rural cartage to today’s diverse transport and Hiab services, Neville Bros has grown alongside the communities it serves, contributing greatly to Auckland’s development through hard work, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Over the generations, Neville Bros has evolved with changing times, vehicles, and technologies, yet its values have remained constant. Successive generations of the Neville family have worked alongside generations of other local families, some of whom have spent many years with the company. Together, they have helped shape a legacy that extends far beyond trucks and cartage - one grounded in trust, community connection, dependable service and long-term relationships.
As October 2026 approaches, Neville Bros looks forward to celebrating this centenary milestone with staff, families, customers, and the wider community who have all been part of the journey. While the anniversary is a time to reflect on 100 years of history, it is also an opportunity to look ahead, honoring the foundations laid by Frank and Bert Neville while continuing to build a strong future for the next generation.
One hundred years on, Neville Bros remains proudly family-owned, community-focused, and committed to keeping New Zealand moving.
